Installation Root Barriers.
It is estimated 90% of problems in trees have there origins in the root system so it is important that we do not damage the roots in order to prevent them invading structures, paths and utilities.
Instead we try to be pro active by installing root barriers which are re-inforced concrete barriers covered with a special matting designed to restrict root growth in these areas where problems could arise.
This redirects the root growth away from the structures or utilities before any structural damages can arise and subsequently prevents the need to eventually remove the tree in the future. At Sydney Tree Solutions we believe this is an important step, along with selecting the correct species when planting, to ensure trees can exist in the urban environment without damaging their surrounding infrastructure. This is however a pro active step that needs to be considered as part of your tree management plan before the damage is even evident.
